Holding Sacred Space for Neurodivergent Parents: The Wild Portal by Lizz Mears

Real Life Memberships·Claire Mitchell·Jul 11, 2025· 3 minutes

This one’s for the parents who are doing everything for their kids, and need somewhere they can just be.

Lizz Mears knows what it’s like to fight for your child’s education while running on empty.

She’s the founder of The Neurodivergent Parenting Revolution, based in Poole, Dorset, and her work supports the mental health of parents navigating the exhausting, emotional, and often lonely path of advocating for neurodivergent children.

But alongside the coaching and strategy, Lizz also holds space for something softer.

Something more spiritual. More soothing. More soulful.

It’s called The Wild Portal.

Why she started The Wild Portal

“My free Facebook group is full of incredible parents who’ve hinted at wanting something more spiritual. The woo side. The soul stuff. The kind of support I wish I’d had when I was in the trenches getting my autistic son the help he needed.”

So she created it.

The Wild Portal is part sacred circle, part safe haven, and entirely built on lived experience.

What’s inside the membership?

Every month, members gather on Zoom for a Sacred Circle session based around the lunar cycle. It’s a quiet, soulful space for journaling, creativity, and simply being heard.

There’s also a Facebook group and a WhatsApp chat for connection in between circles, plus new and full moon prompts for reflection and guidance.

“It’s woo. It’s warm. And it’s what I needed, back then.”

A soft launch with serious heart

Lizz launched the Wild Portal on Facebook and through her existing group, alongside TikTok and Instagram.

Now she’s ramping up, marketing with raw honesty, speaking directly to the women who need it most.

“Once I nailed my ideal client, it just clicked. I stopped worrying about being ‘too salesy’ and focused on why this space matters.”

What she’s proud of

“The women inside are magical. I’m proud of the energy we’ve created together. I’m proud that I built this while home educating my kids. And I’m proud that I’m showing up for them and for me.”

Right now, the membership brings in around £100 a month.

And yes, Lizz knows that’s just the beginning.

What’s next?

She’s dreaming of a tiered version; more support and resources for those who want it, but always affordable and accessible for parents who need a sanctuary most.

“They’re often under serious financial strain. This space needs to be sustainable for me and for them. That’s the balance I’m working on.”

Final thoughts

The Wild Portal isn’t just a membership, it’s medicine for tired, beautiful souls who’ve been holding everything together for everyone else.

Lizz gets it. And that’s what makes this space so powerful.
