From Mind Monkeys to a Mindful Membership That Helps Women Breathe Again
Emma Rowley is a Relaxation Practitioner and Motivational Coach based in Hampshire, and she knows how loud midlife can feel.
Between identity shifts, changing relationships, career pivots, and the invisible weight so many women carry, she realised what was missing wasn’t more hustle, more pressure, or more goals.
It was pause. It was peace.
“There are lots of personal development spaces out there, but very few that offer true calm and community. Willow & Wave is a modern sanctuary for women who want to feel supported, seen, and inspired in a gentle way.”
And that’s exactly what she’s created.
Now with 7 founding members and bringing in £140/month, Willow & Wave is softly expanding, and offering something truly rare in the process.
What’s Inside Willow & Wave?
This isn’t a content dump or high-pressure space. It’s a digital retreat that women can return to, day or night, for grounding, breathing, and quiet encouragement.
Inside the membership, you’ll find:
Breathwork & Guided Meditation
Mindfulness Practices
Energy Clearing & Yoga Nidra
Journaling Prompts & Reflection Tools
A “Book Nook” – Curated reads for calm and growth
Seasonal Workshops
Guest Speaker
And the Willow Circle – A gentle community space for connection
It’s not about fixing yourself. It’s about coming home to yourself. “Midlife is such a time of transition. Women are carrying so much. I wanted to create a space where they can simply exhale.”
How She Launched (Despite the Mind Monkeys)
Emma had dreamed of creating a membership like this for a long time, but, like so many of us, she hesitated.
“Starting it was the biggest challenge. The mind monkeys played havoc in my head. But I just decided to go for it. I was so pleased when the first person signed up!”
She launched on LinkedIn and Facebook, gently sharing her vision and inviting people in.
She now grows it by:
Sharing regular updates about what’s being added to the membership
Creating awareness through calm, meaningful posts
Letting the offer speak to those who need it
What She’d Do Differently
“It’s still early days, but I would’ve shared more about the opening than I did.”
That said, the soft start fits the tone of the community she’s building.
What She’s Most Proud Of
“I love the name, and the meaning behind it.”
Willow represents strength in flexibility. Wave speaks to the natural rhythm of life. Together, they reflect the mission: calm, clarity, connection, compassion.
Her Bigger Vision?
“I dream of creating a mindful, modern version of the Women’s Institute, with community at its heart.”
Think connection without competition. Support without performance. A place to breathe, grow, and belong.
Final Thoughts
Willow & Wave isn’t loud. It doesn’t shout to be seen. And that’s exactly the point.
It’s a quiet, nourishing space for midlife women to come back to themselves, again and again. And with Emma at the helm, it’s only just begun.
