Let me introduce the wonderful Melanie Perry and Julie Hyde Mew - and their membership - CR38IVES (pronounced “Creatives”) is more than just a clever name. It’s a thriving business club for professionals in the creative industries, and it’s grown into something powerful since launching in May 2022.
With 40 members and a strong, values-led community, the team behind CR38IVES is building something rare: a business club that actually puts its people first.

The membership launched with a very low-priced “lifetime membership” offer for the first six months - a bold way to start, but not something they'd repeat:
“If I started over, I wouldn’t make it soooo cheap to join at the start. I’d do more of a proper launch with a run-up and only open doors at certain times.”
Growth so far has come from word of mouth and online visibility. But there’s a twist - not just anyone can join.
“We get loads of referrals, but we’re picky - members have to be a good fit for the group.”
To help bring in more of the right people, they’ve introduced an incentive scheme and are currently trialling a partnership with another networking group.
Their proudest achievement?
“Helping our members grow their businesses.”
CR38IVES currently brings in £300/month, but the bigger vision is clear. Melanie says “I want to grow organically and build a large, strong, global community.”
