Meet Karina O'Donnell the founder of The Wedding Business Mentor, who helps wedding and creative professionals grow their businesses, especially those who are brilliant at their craft but feel lost when it comes to the actual business bit.
Her membership, The Wedding Business Box, launched in January 2025 and is growing steadily, currently supporting 10 members (as of 18 June).

It launched off the back of a conference-style event in November with 34 attendees, supported by word of mouth at networking events and social media.
She’s continuing to grow it the same way - word of mouth, social media (no ads), and monthly face-to-face networking.
Karina’s biggest challenge?
“Imposter syndrome. I know that I know my stuff, I’ve been doing it for 35+ years - so it was about reminding myself that I’m knowledgeable. Having some great supporters who love what I do and tell others about me really helped.”
And if she could go back and do it again? “I’d build my audience bigger so the launch brought in better numbers from the start… but it’s getting there.”
She’s already making a difference.
The best part? Karina says “The fact that other members recommend me at networking events. It’s very humbling.”
Right now, her membership brings in around £270/month, and her next step is clear:“To grow the membership and upsell additional workshops.”
With that level of care, clarity, and consistency, she’s well on her way.
