This membership started with a podcast and grew from there. Let me tell you about fabulous Kelly Thomas and her business, Crochet Business School. Kelly teaches crocheters how to turn their hobby into a profitable business, and the next natural step after free advice, is her paid membership.
That’s how Hooked On Success was born.
Kelly says “It’s a follow-on from my public podcast and allows me to go deeper into each topic in an easy-to-access format.”
Right now, Hooked On Success includes:
-
Members-only podcast episodes
-
Quarterly business challenges
-
And an optional upgrade to join the private Facebook group
At the time of writing, Kelly’s membership is in the founding member phase and has 2 members already.
It was launched simply, by talking about it on the free podcast, and growth is coming from the same method:
“I keep talking about it on my podcast and include it in my newsletters and social media.”
So far, the response has been positive. Members love the convenience. And so does Kelly: “It gives my members lots of information in an easy-access format they can listen to on any device, as long as they have internet, from anywhere so they can grow their own successful business faster.”
What’s been hardest?
“Promoting it properly - I’ve unfortunately been very inconsistent. If I started again, I’d promote it properly from the start.”
Still, there are bright spots. “I’m most proud of the successes my members have had.”
Kelly’s plans for her membership are “To grow the community associated with the membership and build a group of successful crochet entrepreneurs.”
With that kind of mission, she’s already on the right path - and it all started with a podcast and a willingness to try.
